Lost Kittens For Sale

Doug and I spent a long time looking for two of our bobtail kittens this evening, and never did find them. We had someone coming to look at the litter of kittens for sale and of course those 2 were no-where to be found.
We could not think of a single hiding place for the little monkeys to conceal themselves, and yet we knew they were somewhere nearby smiling in their sleep and dreaming of chicken flavored mice or whatever kittens dream of.
We called and shined a flashlight into every dark nook and cranny. We found lots of dust and a few lost cat toys and other bits and pieces we had been unable to locate. We finally gave up in frustration, hoping they would come out in time for the potential buyers to see them.
But you know those kittens were never lost to their Mom. Electra may not have been able to see those squirts and the kittens may have even felt that they were hidden to the world including their Mother. But there was never a moment when Electra did not know just where her babies were.
The Shepherd, our God, loves us that way. We may think He cannot see us. We may think that we are lost or hidden to Him. Not so. He knows where we are and what we are going through every second of every day. And He cares about us and is watching out for us even though we do not realize it.
What an amazing thought: we are never so lost that our Creator does not know where we are and how to find us……..if we will just listen for His voice.
And Guess what? The 2 lost Highland Lynx kittens came out just as the buyers came in. Even more amazing……..those same 2 bobtail kittens that were in hiding were picked by the nice people to go to their forever homes! Thank You Great Shepherd for Your love of all Your lost sheep…and kittens.

I am excited to be starting our blog on Caring for Cats. Doug and I have both owned or been around cats all our lives. For Doug, raising a specific breed was a new idea. For myself (Holly) I realized this past year that raising bobtail cats was something I had wanted to do for a very long time, maybe since childhood.
When I was young my parents raised Siamese cats and I loved every second of that, even though I did not know at the time all the work that went in behind the scenes.
Without my knowing at the time, the seed was planted that would later grow into a dream I was able to put into reality with God's help and Dougs support.
My hope is that while I am adoring these precious and wonderful cats I raise, that you will also find helpful information on making your life and your beloved pets' a better place. And that you would be encouraged in your spirit as well.
I greatly look forward to reading your thoughts, comments, and questions. I hope to get to know a whole bunch of you marvelous cat people through this blog. Together we can make this a fun site to visit and communicate on, as well as a place to gather valuable information.
